Your family does not define you. Your identity is in Christ. Look at Ezekiel. 

“the word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was upon him there.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Ezekiel was a priest and prophet, and we are also told that Ezekiel was the son of Buzi. The meaning of Buzi is contempt, worthless or being beneath consideration. Even though Ezekiel’s father was called worthless by his family, this did not define Ezekiel. The hand of the Lord was upon him and on you.
