Your hand was there all along

I look back on the events after my loss, and I see the Lord’s hand everywhere.   A couple of days after my husband died I went to the funeral home; lots of decisions were upon me. I chose to have cards made up with a picture of my husband with a verse on it, “God will keep them in perfect peace, because their mind is stayed HIM.” Isaiah 26:3. If only I had meditated on this verse. Shortly after my husband’s loss, I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What I have learned is that what we tell ourselves, others about the loss is very important; and, what do we think on; the life or the death.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8 NKJV
