“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you..” Luke 10:19

The word power in this verse is exousia, the power of authority, power of rule. We have the same authority as Christ to execute judgement against the enemy in Jesus’ name. We have this authority because we are united with our savior. Notice the verse says that nothing can hurt us. There is nothing left out of nothing. So why are so many Christians becoming casualties? The simple answer is that they are not executing their authority in Jesus Christ’s name.
