As I listened on this cold morning to the birds chirping and singing, I could not help thank the Lord for my warm house and the food He has given me. He cares and meets each of our needs. Why? Why does the almighty God of the universe care?

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Mathew 6:26

The answer is in the last sentence of the verse. You are valuable to God. He loves you and demonstrates His love by adopting you. You are His sons and daughters, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!…” 1 John 3:1

Not only are you adopted, but you are made priests in His kingdom.

“You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.” Isaiah 63:3
