There is a trend today in self-worship. The focus has wavered from God, and the focus is on the “I” generation. I need, I want, I am, I think, I am the one. A generation that is void of God will worship themselves. 

“Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'” Mathew 4:10

We need to follow Jesus example when temptation comes to glorify ourselves. The results of worship are encouraging: we will hear His voice, be at rest, and have a softened heart (Psalm 95:7-11).
