I saw this quote recently and thought that it was partially true, “Worry is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere.” Worry can take you down the wrong path and away from God. When you worry, your mind is not on God.
God says “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Mathew 6:34. Does that mean we ignore our responsibilities? No, we give it to God to help us work them out.
“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:6-8
Our focus needs to be on the Lord in all situations. Because the devil is watching to see whether He can tempt you down the wrong path.
