Woe is me!

“Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.” ‭Psalms‬ ‭69:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Heaviness of heart can drive us to self-pity. It is a miserable state to be in, and the reality is no one wants to be in the pit with you. However, there is one who experienced the same emotion and understands. Jesus, when He was in the garden, Gethsemane He sought someone to acknowledge His emotional state, someone to have compassion and understanding, but there was none. He knows your pain; He knows the agony; give it to him so he can lift you.

“He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.” Psalm 40:2
