Today is Giving Tuesday, and many struggle to know where to donate, and many assume that what they are offering is for God. But is it? Will God receive your tithe? There are several instances in the Bible where God refused offerings made to Him. Cain’s offering (Genesis 4:3-5) and the Israelites’ offering (Isaiah 1:11-15). Their hearts were far from God.  

Our hearts need to be right when we give. Ask the question: Why am I giving? Is it for God to bring Him glory and further His Kingdom? Is this what He desires?  

When we direct our hearts toward God, He guides and directs us on when and where to give.

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Mal 3:8, 10

When we give out of our hearts, God opens the Storehouses and blesses us so richly.
