“Why does the way of the wicked prosper?” Jeremiah 12:1

The prophet Jeremiah asked a question we all want to understand.  

God’s answer to Jeremiah was, “….I have given the dearly beloved of My soul into the hand of her enemies.” Jeremiah 12:7

We have a loving God, but we also have a just and righteous God. His purposes will be served, and all is in His control. “I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.‘ Isaiah 45:7

Pride always proceeds captivity.  

“…humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,” 1 Peter 5:6
