If God is such a loving God, why do we suffer?
Many are experiencing sicknesses, diseases, loss of homes, and loss of loved ones that cause great suffering. Why do we have to experience such pain?
God desires that we not suffer. However, His ultimate desire is that we come to know and love Him. And through the suffering that we walk through, our hearts our perfected.
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,” 2 Cor 4:17
We learn so much during times of suffering that we cannot learn in any other way. God takes us through things, not out of it.
“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah 48:10
Even God’s own son Jesus learned obedience through suffering, “though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.” Hebrews 5:8
As you walk through this time in your life, remember God is with you, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10
