Why do I need to go to Church?

There are a lot of benefits to going to church. First, we learn from other believers, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Second, God desires us to be in fellowship with other believers,

“… But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-7

Third, James declares several blessings for going to church, James exhorts anyone who is sick to “call the elders of the church to pray over them,” and to “confess your sins to each other and pray for each other” (James 5:14-16).

Lastly and most importantly, we go to church to worship our Lord, “Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3
