Why did Jesus come?
The Bible tells us clearly why Jesus came, “the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
When Jesus cried out on the cross “it is finished”, His work was done on Earth. He fulfilled His Father’s will (John 19:30).
There was a divine exchange that occurred on the cross. We were the ones that should have been crucified; Jesus took our place. He took all to give us all. “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6
Whatever you are going through today, Jesus has already taken it on the cross. Receive your healing in Him. Thank you, Jesus!
