Why am I having so many troubles?

Why am I having so many troubles? I was doing fine, and now it seems worse than before.

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” Mathew 12:43-45 (NIV)

You may have previously cleaned your house to kick out all evil. However, if you do not walk in the light of Christ, fill yourself up with the Holy Spirit, and you return to your past ways (sins). The enemy will have a right to come back in. Satan is a legalist. So ask the Lord to show you what doors you may have opened for the enemy to come in. The devil cannot come in without a legal right.

Unforgiveness; addictions (drugs, alcohol, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, pornography); and the occult (yoga, astrology, horoscopes, divination (fortune tellers), etc.) are a few of the sins that will open a door for the enemy to come back into your life.

So what can you do? Confess your sins, turn from them, and worship God.

“Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the Lord your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.” 2 Kings 17:38-39
