Who is going to hell?

magbo system

Many just assume that they are going to Heaven. Yet, it is very clear that not all will go to Heaven; many will go to Hell. This is not something people want to think about. God says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6)

Do you want to be one who perishes?

When time is up, “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Mathew 13:41

Two groups of people are mentioned in this verse as being cast into hell: those who offend and those who practice lawlessness (practice wickedness).

An offending person is one who is sinning. The Bible gives us a definition of sin: “all unrighteousness is sin.” 1 John 5:17. Unrighteousness is a person who is morally wrongful, not right in God’s sight. Not all sin leads to death. Yet there are certain sins that God is strongly opposed to, Blasphmey the Holy Spirit is a guaranteed death sentence.

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.” Mathew 12:31-32

In 1 Cor 6:9-11, Paul tells us the sins that, if not confessed and forsaken, will prevent us from inheriting the Kingdom of God.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Cor 6:9-11

If you desire to have an eternal life then you need to do a couple of things, first, accept Jesus as your savior (Romans 10:9) and confess any sins, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
