Which Seeds Do We Keep?
When we face trauma it can stare back with hurt and bitterness. We may tend to
shut everyone out of our lives and turn inward, only to be sucked down a tunnel of hopelessness and despair.
The root of bitterness can spring up lack of trust, doubt, unforgiveness and many other things that can spread bad seeds. There are seeds in my garden that I want to reproduce. I have some Black-eyed Susans that have gone to seed and I want to spread those seeds so I can have more flowers next year.
We know that some seeds bring beauty and others bring hardship. So, we need to be aware of the seeds we are keeping and the ones we want to destroy.
“…’He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.’”
Matthew 13:37-39 NKJV
