When reality hits

As I was on my way to visit a friend, I was in a car accident. My first thought was I needed to call my husband. Reality hit me as I went to dial his number. He is not here. He had been dead for a year.

Our minds may have come to terms with the loss. However, our hearts take time to heal.  “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…” Eccl 3:11

Jesus came to “.. bind up the brokenhearted…” Isaiah 6:1

“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:1
