Your father or mother has passed, and now one is left to carry on. What should you do? The Bible provides guidance in this situation.
“Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.” 1 Timothy 5:3-4
We are to care for our family. This is putting your faith into action. This can be a strain on your family dynamics. However, blessings will come if you do what is pleasing God. Ask God to guide and direct your steps in caring for your parent.
Cast all your cares upon Him, “casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you” 1 Peter 5:7
