I heard a story of a man that has a tree trimming business. He goes into a neighborhood and trims one tree in a yard and moves onto the next house. After he has completed the trimming, he collects what is due to him. The neighborhood does not know when he will come and what tree in their yard will be trimmed. The neighbors all glory in the beauty and are eagerly awaiting his next visit.
“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2
No one knows when He will come, but we must eagerly await Him, “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:13-14 NKJV
