What is Your Priority?

What is Your Priority?

Our circumstances can shape our priorities. A woman who is engaged to be married may have all her attention towards planning a wedding. A student approaching graduation may have all eyes of passing examinations. There is nothing wrong with having goals and reaching for them. But we must keep our most important priorities in view.

When my dad was dying from Parkinson’s disease, I felt like I was moving through life in slow motion while the world around me was moving right along. I didn’t see much of anything being more important than my dad’s life slipping away. But I did have hope, because I knew he was ready spiritually to go home to his Father in heaven.

Our priorities should always be on our relationship with Jesus. He is the only one who can extend our life beyond this earth. He promises to take care of us in every way if we do depend on Him.

So, for the bride to be, having Jesus at the head of your relationship with your soon to be husband is a recipe for success. And the student, who is relying of God for guidance in the next step of life, will find favor.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  Matthew 6:33  NKJV
