What is Your Head Telling You?

Do you let the things people say about you come into your mind? Words such as, “You are stupid, fat, lazy, slow, depressing, boring, etc!, You will never amount to anything., Your idea will never work., Why can’t you be like…?, You are just like…, You were a mistake., I never loved you., Who do you think you are?, Why are you still here?” I could go on but I’m sure you have one that runs in your head.

I am so thankful I have Jesus in my life. First He made me a new creature, so all of my past is gone (II Corinthians 5:17). Then He gave me a new mind, so I will think like He does (I Corinthians 2:16). Then He took all of the bad thoughts and tied them up like a captive and gave me the new thoughts that He thinks (II Corinthians 10:4,5, Philippians 4:8).

No matter what someone will say about me, I know that Jesus loved me so much that He died for me and He overcame death so that I can live with Him forever. I know who I am in Christ.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”
