What is sound doctrine?  

The Bible says “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;” 2 Timothy 4:3

Are we receiving sound doctrine?  We all can probably remember when we were kids and what our parents taught us.  “Don’t trust anyone, they may hurt you;” you have to kiss many frogs to find your prince; when your child tells you he is having bad dreams, “It’s okay, Pal, reality is much scarier”; or, “do what I say, not as I do.”  

We all accepted what are parents told us as sound.    

Sound doctrine is teaching that is free from a mixture of error.  God’s word is truth “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.  Align the teachings to God’s word.
