What is our Treasure?

Did you ever go on a treasure hunt when you were a child? It is usually a game that someone has put together where a series of clues are given and everyone tries to find the treasure. The treasure could be money, or candy or a number of things that would be sought after.

Jesus used an example of what the kingdom of heaven is like; something very valuable. He says, “…the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys the field.” (Matthew 13:44  NKJV)

“Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”  Matthew 13:43
