What Does Religion Teach Us?

Religion teaches us to limit God. In religion we put God in a box, and leave out the expectations of His limitless power. We have our own ideas how God should answer our prayers, and when He does not fit in our small expected outcome, we become disillusioned.

The enemy, Satan, steals our faith by bringing fear to ask God to do more than we expect; the fear becomes a fear that God cannot deliver. So, the root of unbelief in this case is fear. Are we afraid to talk to God? If so, why? God created us to have fellowship with Him. There is no fear in love (God).

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.”  I John 1:6  NKJV

Jesus hates religion. He wants our hearts.
