Can we follow Jesus and seek the wrong thing?

Are we seeking healing, miracles, prosperity, or blessings? All of these sound like good things. However, God wants us to seek Him first!  

“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.” Hosea 10:12
