“do you seek great things for yourself?” Jeremiah 45:5. Ask the Lord to show you why. God knows the things you need (Mathew 6:8). Barauch Jeremiah’s scribe was seeking great things, and it caused him to be discouraged and disappointed when he did not see these things manifest in His life.   

We are not to seek to bring glory to ourselves.   

God says, “Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh,” says the Lord. “But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go.”‘” Jeremiah 45:5

It is a blessing to walk with the Lord. In Him, we have all things (2 Peter 1:3).  

In 1986, Baruch was made famous as the only man in the Old Testament who was fingerprinted when archaeologists found a clay document marker that had his seal and thumbprint. God exalted Him!!
