We pray, hope and plead for healing, change, salvation for loved ones, etc.  And many do not see answers.   The question many should be asking is: What am I expecting from God?  What are you expecting God to do for you?  When you ask God to do something, are you expecting to receive what you have asked?

The Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given you” Mark 7:7.  

Jesus said, “What do you want me to do for you?”  Mark 10:51

What do you want Jesus to do for you?  

“if you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:11

The reason people don’t receive is doubt.

“when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.  Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”  James 1:6-8

Expect that our wonderful, merciful, gracious God will give you what you ask.  Expect good things.
