What are the impacts of fear?

What are the impacts of fear?

We see in the book of Job a statement that what Job feared happened,
“For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.” Job 3:25

Even though God called Job blameless and righteous, in his heart he struggled with fear. When our heart is diverted from God and our focus is on what might happen. We basically conjure up what-if scenarios. Fear drives us.

God says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer 29:11

Now I know what you are thinking. How did this work out for Job? He lost his family. Yes, but God restored him and gave him double for his trouble.

So how did Job cope with fear? Everyday Job sacrificed a burnt offering to atone for his children’s sin. The best way to cope with fear is give it to God. Lord, this situation is upon me. What do you want me to do? When we take it to God in prayer, He hears and acts.
