What Are Blessings?

Many times we think of blessings as material possessions. That could be a Western way of thinking. But, blessings can include a loving family, true and loyal friends, joy, peace and a good night sleep.

There are many verses in the Bible about giving. Again, we seem to equate that with money. God wants all of us. Just like in a marriage, our spouse doesn’t just want our money; they want our time, attention and love. God wants us to have a relationship with Him and in return we receive many benefits.

“’Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.’”
