He was grieved

“He has put Him to grief” (“challah” – to make sick or weak). Isaiah 53:10
Many of you are grieving a loss. Could this loss be for a greater purpose? It was Gods pleasure (delight, desire) to crush Jesus, His son. To grieve Him, make Him weak/sick; afflict Jesus with our sin. Jesus declared, “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? But for this purpose I came to this hour.” John 12:27. Jesus experienced emotional turmoil, just like we do. What Jesus did next is what we need to do when we are struggling. He prayed, “Father, glorify Your name.”
God looks at the end state of what is to become (1 Samuel 16:7). We see the here, and now, God sees the eternal, what is to be. Help us, Lord, to see as you see. So we can bring pleasure to you. Help us through this time of grief, for our soul is afflicted. Whatever you are going through, ask the Lord to be glorified.
