Walk Through the Door
Have you ever had trouble walking through a door, whether it be a physical door or metaphorical? Fear can stop us in our tracks. We are confronted with the two “F’s”, fear and faith. When we are walking with Jesus, He can open many doors for us, but are we willing to go through them?
I have heard more than one person say that they feared God would send them to Africa as a missionary if they surrendered to God. I’m not sure why Africa was such a scary place, unless they had watched Tarzan movies. Jesus called His disciples with simple words, “Follow Me”. He never takes us to places He has not prepared us to go. And He uses out past experiences to bless others.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” II Corinthians 1:3,4 NKJV
“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you all things which must take place after this.” Revelation 4:1 NKJV
We see John was invited to go through a door in a vision; and the door lead to heaven where Jesus gave him the revelation.
