Walk by faith – Raised up

Walk by faith – Raised up

“For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Cor 5:7-8

My heart travelled back to the day where a man died in front of me, and my faith kicked in. I started to pray for him. I was praying for his resurrection; there was no doubt, only conviction. I heard the words spoken by one of the women doing CPR, “he has been dead for 30 minutes. Should we stop doing CPR?” I more earnestly prayed for my LORD to lift this man from the dead. As I was praying, I had a knowing that I was not present. Then I heard the words “clear”, I opened my eyes, and the room was emptied of the 30 or so people who had been in the room and across from me was a paramedic. Paddles were raised in the air, and my hands were on the man’s ankles. My mind raced, “does he not see me? I am going to go flying, why does he not see me?” The paddle went down, and nothing happened. The paramedic looked confused that his paddles did not work and then he saw me. He directed another paramedic to escort me out of the room. As I was leaving the room, the man came to life. He came to life through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name.

“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.” 2 Cor 5:9
