Are you waiting for the Holy Spirit to speak and move in your life? Then, minister to the Lord and fast.

“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

Ministering to the Lord means serving Christ by praying, teaching God’s word, or leading others to Christ (the way of salvation). Fasting is not as you think; many abstain from food.  

I remember one time the Church called a 30-day fast, and the people in the Church were talking about the foods they were going to give up. I prayed and asked the Lord what He wanted me to do, and He led me to eat three healthy meals for 30 days (no junk food). After 30-days, as I took my last bite, it was like an explosion of goodness in my mouth. I deemed this to be what it would be like in Heaven. At the same time, I knew all bondage had been lifted from me. 

God will lead you to fast, He desires, “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?” Isaiah 58:6

Let the Lord lead you as He desires, and blessings will come.
