There are verses in the Bible that people don’t like. Why? Most of the time, it is because they feel convicted.
If you are dating a non-believer, you might want to check out this verse: “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” 2 Cor 6:14
As believers, we are to be in the world and not of the world, “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Gal 5:20-21.
Now here is the verse that people definitely don’t want to hear: “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” James 4:17
