Twisting of the Word

It is amazing to see that many fall into this trap of the enemy. Twisting of the Word…

“Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ””  ‭Matthew‬ ‭4:5-7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Notice the twisting of the word was done within the Holy City, standing on the highest point of the temple. As it is in our churches today. We are warned in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

Take away all our spiritual blindness Lord. Show us what we can’t see. Illuminate your truth.
