Twice a child

As I pondered a thought from a 96-year-old woman, I was perplexed. She said we are an adult once and a child twice. I know she was referring to a state of need to be cared for physically. When you look at this from a spiritual sense, we see a much bigger picture.

We are told to be like a child in scripture, “…Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4 NKJV.

Should we not always be in a state of trust, belief, humbleness, free from bondage, accepting and giving of love unconditionally? The question today, what area in our lives is not like a child?

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,” 1 Peter 1:8
