Troubles, Troubles

There are troubles everywhere. Sometimes we don’t know where to turn. But there is hope. Jesus said, “…In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33b, NKJV)

Jesus was warning His believers about the kind of tribulation that had them running for their lives. It is not uncommon today to hear of believers in Jesus suffering that same persecution. But we can have comfort in Jesus.

“And I [Jesus] say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that they have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!  Luke 12:4,5
