Anxiety and the sorrow of the heart may cause sleep issues.
Anxiety leads to heaviness/depression (proverbs 12:25) and sorrow of the heart (Neh 2:2).
God desires that we be in peace. “You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” Is 26:3
Refuse to think on the things that cause you stress. Think about good things (Phil 4:8). Cast all your cares on the Lord (1 Peter 5:7).
Proclaim, “I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8
Remember, “It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.” Psalm 127:2
