Trauma the unspoken heartache

Trauma the unspoken heartache

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is classified by doctors as a mental disorder. Which typically manifests as a result of a traumatic event (rape, molestation, accidents, traumatic death of a loved one, or war).   The battle is in the mind and the heart. Complete healing from PTSD is possible and requires a renewed mind and healing of the heart.

God can completely heal a person from PTSD however it requires some work on their part.  They need to lean into God and trust Him with their healing.  First step is to eliminate barriers (unbelief, sin, unforgiveness, doubt); start renewing the mind by thinking on good things (Romans 12:2); reading the Bible (washing in the Word) and asking God to show them what may be in their heart that is preventing healing (Isaiah 61:1).

“Who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ.”  1 Cor 1:16

“and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Phil 4:7.
