We pray the Lord’s prayer and utter “thy will be done” but what is God’s will?
Is it God’s will to heal you? Is it God’s will that people suffer?
We are to live each day to do God’s will (1 Peter 4:2). If this is the case, What is His will?
“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:17
We are to push into God to teach us what His will is through His truth, The Word (John 7:17).
1 Peter 4:19 says it is God’s will at times in our lives to suffer, “Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” Suffering allows us to see our God in a new light that we would not in any other way. Suffering will enable us to bring glory to our God. Look at Jesus; He learned obedience through suffering (Heb 5:8).
As we endure the suffering and wait on God to fulfil His promises, we grow in faith. God is faithful and will fulfil His promises if we meet the conditions.
“Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.” Jeremiah 33:6
