This is the day of good news

“Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”  2 Kings 7:9

Conviction of sin is a powerful force that should cause a person to turn around and go another direction.  These men, leapers, were motivated to turn around by the potential punishment of the King.  They knew in their hearts it was a day of good news and they were not sharing this news.  Notice it was dark.  The days we live in are getting darker.

Today is a day of good news.  Are you sharing the Gospel with others?  If not, what is causing you to not share it?  We have a King; He is the King of Kings.   Do you fear God?  One day we will be judged according to God’s word, what we have done to bring Glory to Him.

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.  Mathew 28:18-20
