The alarm sounded. Then I heard, “this is a test, only a test”

“…For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.” Psalm 7:9

Have you ever wondered why God tests the righteous? It is not to prove our faithfulness. God knows all things. He knows if we are going to pass the test. It is not for His benefit, but ours. He desires to grow and make us holy.

‘But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.’ 1 Peter 5:10

“but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
