“In the beginning was the Word” John 1:1.  John opens up the book of John by declaring who Jesus is. The Eternal God.

John did not describe Jesus a single facet like The Saviour, The Servant, or The Son of Man. John was looking at the whole of who Jesus was, is and is to come.

In the book of revelation Jesus himself gives testimony of who He is, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8. He is the Eternal Living God; The Word that spoke creation into being and continues to speak life into our souls. When we say we believe in Jesus we are saying we believe The Word, The truth. It is a living word that has the power to change what was, is and is to come. As you read your Bible today, take time to hear what God is speaking to you.
