We hear about broken hearts in movies and books, and we attribute a broken heart primarily to relationships.
The heart is the centre of all physical and spiritual life (the soul, mind, will, and emotions)
When a person encounters a physical wound, it needs to be treated, and healing occurs. If it is not healed, it will get infected, rot and decay. The same can happen to a spiritual wound of the heart; when we experience a spiritual wound, intense emotional hurts such as feelings of rejection, abandonment, or not feeling loved damage a person’s character, resulting in sins and ungodly beliefs form.
The good news is that Jesus came to Heal the brokenhearted. Ask the Lord to show you the wounds you may be carrying or walled off and what sins and ungodly beliefs are attached, and for Him to heal you.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” Luke 4:18
