The Trigger
As I look back at the day the gun was before me, loaded and ready for the trigger to be pulled, I look carefully at the trigger.
What released the wheels to be set in motion. The small device that could have released an order to fire.
The trigger was great sorrow, anguish of the soul, fear, and hopelessness. The enemy came upon me, a psychotic break became my reality. His intent was to use the same mechanism that ended my husband’s life to end mine.
What prevented the trigger from being pulled?
Jesus words, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11
