There have been a few movies that have left lasting impressions over the years.  And one of these movies was The Surrogate.  The movie explores a society in which humans have become dependent on robots, leading to a loss of human connection.  Have we reached this point?  Artificial Intelligence (AI) seems to be our first choice of information, counselling, doctors, wisdom, and now our surrogate.  Think about it: when you have an issue, do you go to God first or to your phone for answers?    Could AI be our Tower of Babel, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves”. Genesis 11:4.   

Has AI become your God, Idol?

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;”  Exodus 20:3-5

The last days will be marked by widespread deception, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”  2 Thess 2:3

Do not be deceived brethern, seek first the kingdom of God and abide in Him.
