The Most Important Twelve Inches

We can study, memorize and recite God’s word. But if it stays in our heads and does not take the trip twelve inches down to our heart, we do not contain the life giving properties of God’s word where it needs to be. In order for our bodies to stay alive, our hearts need to pump blood. Our mind does not have to be conscious in order for us to live.

Spiritually, if God’s word is not in our heart to give us life, our brains alone cannot sustain us.

When we start with the heart, our mind will follow.
