A treasure chest usually has a key; when you find the treasure, you want access to everything stored in it.

God has a treasure, and the key is readily available to all of us.

“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.” Isaiah 33:6

The fear being spoken of here is not natural fear but awe or, better stated, reverence for your God.

Remember you are part of the Lord’s treasure, “… you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” Deut 7:6
