Can weeds come through a hedge? As I sit on the back porch, the cool of the wind blows over the pages of my Bible and then stillness. The answer lay before me by God, 

“Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” Job 1:8-12

God’s ways go far beyond our ways. The Lord will do whatever it takes to further our relationship with Him. Including lifting the hedge of protection to glorify His name.  

When we find that we are under attack or experiencing a loss, it might not be because we have missed the mark but because we have hit the bullseye.   

“You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.” Job 5:11

Endure whatever you are going through today; the Lord will show you a way out and bless you so richly.
