The enemy within

There is a war waging within us, and if not dealt with, it will overcome us.

Even the apostle Paul struggled, “For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” Romans 7:19-20

Sin is the nature of Satan, “You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned.” Ezekial 28:14-17

We need to be of the nature of God. So, how do we acquire the nature of God? The answer can be found in 2 Peter 1:2-4

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the [c]corruption that is in the world through lust.” 

All things that pertain to Godliness and life can be found in God’s word. It is through the precious promises of God that we can come to know God and His divine nature.
