That day
Can we prepare for “that day.” You know the day that sweeps the air out of your lungs, and you drop to your knees. The day when you hear that you have lost a family member, job or you have health issues. Can we be prepared?
I look at Job that experienced “that day” as he lost his children, property, servants, etc. God called him a righteous and blameless man. No matter our circumstances we may still have “that day”. That comes upon us like a thief in the night. What can we do to be prepared?
“But as for me, I trust in You O’Lord (Build up your trust in God; no matter the circumstances, proclaim you trust God. And, know He will work out everything for the good); I say, You are my God (confess that Lord is your high priest (Hebrews 3:1)). My times are in your hand (commit yourselves to the Lord). Oh, how great is Your goodness (thank and praise Him), which you laid up for those who fear You, (revere the Lord), which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide us in the secret place of Your presence (God will protect and shields you) From the plots of man; You shall keep us secretly in the pavilion from the strife of tongues. (Psalm 31:14-15, 19-20
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalm 50:15
